OUR MISSION

St. Marys Paper Corp. Woodlands Department, will ensure that a continuous supply of quality forest products are available to meet the needs of the paper mill, through continued efforts to achieve the highest standards of sustainable forest management practices for the long term health of the forest resource. St Marys Paper Corp. will work with all resource users for the sustainability of the forest and the communities it supports.

PRINCIPLES

Sustainable Forest Management
St. Marys will conduct its forest management activities in an environmentally sound, responsible and progressive manner supporting practices of sustainable forest management.

Public Consultation
St. Marys will work with all resource users and take into consideration their concerns when planning its forest management activities.

Community Involvement
St. Marys through active participation in our communities is committed to the awareness and education of sustainable forest management.

Employee Safety, Training and Development
St. Marys will ensure its employees and contractors are trained to conduct their roles and responsibilities in a safe and healthy environment.

Forest Research and Development
St. Marys is committed to participating with agencies and organizations to address and promote developments in forest policy and research initiatives.

First Nations
St. Marys will establish relationships and encourage development of with First Nations peoples in forest management activities.

Other Resource Users
St. Marys will develop partnerships with other forest resource users, agencies and interest groups and consider their interest during forestry activities.

Forest Audits
St. Marys is committed to the auditing of its forest management activities and making the results available to our Board of Directors, our employees, and the public.
